HISTORY

The Canyon Lake Choraleers began in 1980 as a small group of 12-14 singers and has now grown to perform before sold out audiences the past three seasons.

Lorilee Bajema holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Trinity College, London and is a sought-after director/conductor and gifted music teacher.

Looking Back on a Memorable 2025 Season — and Ahead to 2026

As we step into our 2026 season, we reflect with gratitude on the music, moments, and memories that made 2025 so special for the Canyon Lake Choraleers. Our season opened in May with Bond & Beyond, an electrifying collaboration with the SoZo Jazz Band that captivated audiences with dramatic themes, bold harmonies, and cinematic flair inspired by the world of espionage.

We closed the year in true Choraleers style with Swing Into Christmas, a joyful and heartfelt holiday finale that quickly became the crown jewel of Canyon Lake’s festive season. Filled with warmth, nostalgia, and the sparkle of timeless holiday favorites, the concert brought our community together through the shared gift of music.

As we look forward to what’s ahead, the spirit of 2025 continues to inspire us. We invite you to join us again in 2026 as we celebrate the power of music to connect, uplift, and create lasting memories.

Great American Songbook

Celebrate the timeless music that helped define a nation at our upcoming America’s Songbook Concert. This special evening brings the spirit of the Great American Songbook to life through beloved classics filled with swing, romance, optimism, and unforgettable melodies. From toe-tapping jazz standards to lyrical ballads, these songs capture the heart of an era and continue to resonate across generations.

What truly makes this concert special is the return of the SoZo Jazz Band, whose dynamic 18-piece sound elevates every performance and brings these iconic songs to life in a way only a full jazz ensemble can. Joined by the Canyon Lake Choraleers and our kids choir, the evening promises a warm, uplifting, and entertaining journey through America’s musical heritage. Join us for rich harmonies, iconic tunes, and joyful storytelling through music—an unforgettable way to celebrate spring and the songs that still make us smile, sway, and sing along.
