Casey Johnson

Most choir members arrive early, warm up carefully, and settle into the same seat week after week. Casey Johnson’s entrance, however, often happens on performance day — and it tends to be a little more… cinematic. Think of the moment when Tom Cruise dramatically parachuted into the Olympic stadium in Paris. That’s essentially Casey’s concert-day style. You can drop him into any seat on the risers and he is instantly ready — music in hand, voice warmed, completely prepared.

Casey has been with the Choraleers for three years, though his schedule doesn’t always allow him to attend weekly rehearsals. When duty calls, the community needs him elsewhere. Casey serves as a paramedic, a role that requires calm judgment, quick thinking, and a steady presence in the most unpredictable circumstances. The ability to step into a situation fully prepared — even when it changes by the minute — is simply part of who he is.

When he is able to join rehearsal, Casey slips quietly into the back row with the same composed efficiency that defines his work. There is nothing flashy about the way he carries himself. He is thoughtful, humble, and quietly dependable — the kind of person who simply shows up ready to do his part.

Casey and his wife Brittney are college sweethearts and graduates of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, both earning bachelor’s degrees in musical theatre performance. Casey’s musical range moves comfortably from baritone to alto, and his talents extend beyond singing to guitar, piano, and saxophone.

Despite that impressive musical background, Casey remains one of the most modest members of the group. Soft-spoken and unfailingly kind, he is also clearly a devoted husband, always supportive of Brittney both on and off the stage.

Whether arriving straight from rehearsal or making a perfectly timed “parachute landing” on concert day, Casey brings a steady voice, a generous spirit, and the quiet confidence of someone who knows exactly when and how to show up.
