Corky Post

Corky Post is delightfully one of a kind.

After a lengthy hiatus, he has made his way back to the Choraleers, and his return was felt immediately. He brings a boundless, boyish energy — the kind of member who can hardly stay seated because he is so eager to participate, so ready to be part of whatever moment is unfolding in rehearsal.

Corky evokes the spirit of Beaver Cleaver — that irrepressible enthusiasm and unmistakable spark — but with the polished vocal confidence of a seasoned tenor. There is nothing tentative about his musicianship. A beautiful tenor and a welcome presence in the back row, Corky quickly reminded us of his vocal talent, shining in our most recent Christmas performance.

And if during rehearsal you happen to hear a pencil tapping or a bit of cheerful fidgeting coming from the back row, there is no need to turn around. You already know where that energy belongs. The expression on Lorilee’s face usually says it all: “Corky.”

His enthusiasm leaves an indelible mark. His unmistakable spirit adds a brightness that lingers long after the final note is sung. Most of all, his voice is a much-needed and deeply appreciated addition to the choir — and we are better, fuller, and more energized with him back in our ranks.
